About the program
Most adults with a BMI of 27 or higher, or a BMI of 25+ with a weight-related condition such as Type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, or elevated cholesterol, may qualify. We determine eligibility at your free consultation after reviewing your health history and lab results. There's no obligation to proceed.
Many patients see noticeable changes within the first 4 to 6 weeks. Average weight loss in the first 3 months is typically 10 to 20 lbs depending on starting weight, medication, and compliance. Results accelerate as the dose increases. Our 2025 Client of the Year, Eugene, lost 106 lbs in 12 months.

Medication questions
Both are GLP-1 receptor agonists that reduce appetite and improve blood sugar. Tirzepatide also targets GIP receptors (dual-action), which produces stronger appetite suppression and higher average weight loss, up to 22% vs. 15% for Semaglutide. We recommend Tirzepatide as the first-line option for most patients.
The most common side effects are nausea, mild stomach discomfort, and occasional constipation or diarrhea, especially in the first few weeks. These typically improve as the dose stabilizes. We start patients at a low dose and increase gradually to minimize side effects.
Yes. Tirzepatide (Zepbound/Mounjaro) and Semaglutide (Ozempic/Wegovy) are both FDA-approved for chronic weight management in adults. All medications prescribed at CT Medical Weight Loss and Beyond are clinically validated and monitored throughout your program.

We are a self-pay practice and do not bill insurance directly. Many patients use HSA/FSA funds to cover program costs. We also offer flexible financing through Cherry with monthly payment plans and 0% APR options for qualified patients.
